Definition: To meet people where they are on their faith journey and help them to grow deeper in knowledge so that they will be equipped and inspired to live and share the Good News.
Rationale: We cannot love that which we do not know. Growing in knowledge of God and His Church will form a foundation for parishioners to grow in their love of God and neighbor.
Goal #1 – Make Adult Education opportunities more attractive and accessible to benefit parents of school-age children and increase their participation year over year through December 2025.
Goal #2 – Identify and implement resources for different life stages to be made available by September 2024 that will attract 10% of weekly Mass attendance.
Progress: The Knowledge Team has been active this summer. While a few initiatives were planned before the team was assembled, the below represents a sample of what is coming.
The Search – St. Catherine's version. The Search program held in 2023 was a success! To provide an opportunity for others to participate, it’s being offered this fall at St. Catherines.
The Search – Faith Formation version. To provide parents (or anyone) another opportunity, we are offering a modified version of The Search during Faith Formation classes.
Childcare – for key events, we’ll be offering childcare! Hopefully, this will enable parents and guardians to join learning activities they may not have been able to before.
Survey – Instead of assuming we knew what you wanted, we thought it best to ask you directly. Look out for the short survey coming this fall.
Other efforts – We also are curating additional resources to be leveraged in home groups, larger groups at one of the churches or on demand at your convenience.
