We hope that everyone is enjoying a happy, healthy and blessed New Year. As we soon begin the Lenten season why not challenge yourself in a new way this year! Once again, our parish will be traveling to Preston county West Virginia for the 37th consecutive year to help those in need with home repairs that are truly needed. We will also provide emotional and spiritual support to our neighboring brothers and sisters. Please consider getting involved by blocking off a week of your time this summer between June 8th-June 14th and joining our group to accomplish something special for your fellow man and yourself. The trip is extremely rewarding in so many different ways and along the journey you will meet new friends and enjoy developing new relationships. If you have not participated in the past and have interest in the trip or you have joined us in past trips and want to participate again this year, please attend our first general group meeting on Sunday February 23rd @ 12:30 in FarmerHall(downstairs of St. Catherine church). We are looking forward to another successful year in benefiting the families in need in Terra Alta and Preston county, along with our own spiritual needs. All upcoming 9th graders, high schoolers (all high school students will earn service hours toward graduation), young adults and adult volunteers are welcome to learn about this wonderful program, hope to see you there. Registration is now open!! Please visit the parish website under the "Get involved" tab on the homepage and register for this year's trip today, we would love to have you. To quote St. Francis of Assisi, "It is in giving that we receive."
Sincerely,
Appalachia Committee
