My name is Carolyn Kuzniewski, and I am a 20-year-old nursing student at Franciscan University of Steubenville. My family and I are proud parishioners of Saints Martha and Mary Parish. I am thrilled to share an exciting opportunity that God has placed in my path: I have been accepted to participate in a medical mission trip to Ecuador during my spring break. (From March 8th-16th, 2025)
My previous experience on the Appalachia mission trip with St. Martha and Mary last summer ignited a passion in my heart to serve others, and I am grateful for the chance to continue answering God’s call.
This mission, offered through Franciscan University, is particularly meaningful to me as it focuses on healing the whole person. We will provide essential medical care and the sacraments to underserved communities, particularly to pediatric patients who may have never seen a doctor or may have untreated illnesses. Our team will be under the guidance of the local bishop and we will travel across Ecuador, setting up free clinics in towns and villages that need the most help.
As I prepare for this trip, I kindly ask for your prayers. Additionally, if you feel moved to contribute, I would greatly appreciate any financial assistance to help cover the cost of travel and the medical supplies.* This mission will not be possible without your generosity. Thank you for being such a wonderful and supportive community.
*Deadline for donations is October 28th, 2024.
